ASM Autocross Championships as strong as ever
ASM will be organising the 8th Autocross event on Sunday 22nd January 2012 at the ASM Racing Circuits at Ta Qali which is sponsored by ASM and Pasta-Poiatti. First races start at 12.00hrs.
Alan Curmi voted Malta Auto Racing Driver of the Year 2011
Alan Curmi was voted as the Malta Auto Racing Driver of the Year 2011, with Joshua Anastasi a close second. David Anastasi and Patrick Cassar were the other nominees.
Galea dominates the day
All kinds of weather from sun, wind, rain showers and cloudy weather played their role on the ASM race Circuits during the event. These natural ingredients managed to drastically change the track conditions between the three qualifying heats.
Galea and Scicluna dominate autocross
Motocross racing was scheduled to be run in this ASM activity but due to a remarcable amount of rain water which collected in a part of the track, the Motocross races were postponed for riders safety and security.
ASM - Camilleri registers first victory for 2012
During the Autocross Heats, only Manuel Muscat and Mario Scicluna won all the qualifying heats thus they secured their place in the Class A Finals. Scicluna took the lead from the start of the Class A Finals while Galea on a Ritmo and Melo Zammit on an Escort Mk 3 followed close behind.
